On a sturdy base, this upright clock face has the spaces between numerals marked with a fleur de lys. The back is absent so the gleaming clockwork can be seen. Although the hour hand points outwards at the numerals on the outer face, minutes are tracked on a separate dial near the bottom. A slender hammer rises up behind the apparatus, ready to strike a bell on top for when the alarm goes off.
